We have arranged up to eight rounds of golf over five different courses on this trip.
Stevie Hughes has worked with Pumpkin Ridge to arrange five rounds over three days across both courses, Ghost Creek and Witch Hollow. He has arranged tees for the UK visitors on Ghost Creek on Tuesday 10th September, and we will play the inaugural Pumpkin Ridge International across four rounds on the Ghost Creek and Witch Hollow courses on 11th/12th September.
Stevie Hughes also helped find the hotel/golf package in Tacoma at the end of the trip which includes rounds at The Home Course, Chambers Bay and Gold Mountain.
Stevie has also arranged a food package at Pumpkin Ridge for the two days of the Pumpkin Ridge International, including lunch and dinner both days. However, food is not included for any other golf round.
Except Chambers Bay, all rounds will include the use of a golf cart (ie, buggy). Chambers Bay does not permit golf carts, although pull trolleys are available. Apparently, golf carts are available for medical exemptions (a medical certificate is required as proof), but the rental cost is believed to be very expensive as a local caddie is required to drive the cart, so caddie fees and gratuities are required in addition of the rental fee. If anyone requires a golf cart for Chambers Bay, please make your own arrangements directly with the course.
All golf is optional and green fees will be paid by Brian Wainwright on arrival. However, if anyone knows in advance that they do not wish to play certain courses, then please notify Brian Wainwright before August 2024. This is especially important with the Tacoma courses as they are part of a hotel/golf package and we will need to adjust the booking before we travel, otherwise we will still have to pay the green fees if people drop out closer to the date.
